Clio at the 13th Maple Blues Awards Print E-mail

Here's a video of Clio performing at the 13th Maple Blues Awards. Clio was nominated in the New Artist category. Although she didn't take home the award, she's a great performer and I'm sure we'll be seeing/hearing her lots in the near future. 


Born in Montréal, raised in Brooklyn and states now in Québec City, Clio is a singer who started performing at the age of 12 as a contra alto voice at Carroll street church Choir, Brooklyn.

Traveling throughout Gospel, Soul, Blues, Jazz and Hip-Hop, soon she precise her love for Soul, with a touch of Jazz and Blues. Clio charms her audience with her sensual and soulful sound, which defines her musical style as truly unique. Teamed by musicians such as Shawn Rice, guitars, Yannick Lambert, bass, Serge Poulin, drums, Sébastien Champagne, piano, André Lavergne, lapsteel and guitars, and Randall Spear for compositions, Clio is on the road of music for good.

2006: Nominated by Lys Blues Award as New Artist Of The Year;

2007: Chosen as part of “5 fois 5” project in Québec city at Théâtre du Petit Champlain;

WINNER of Montréal Festiblues Contest;

WINNER of OFQJ for Blues Sur Seine 9th edition 2007 festival;

2008: Winner of 2 Lys Blues Award : Best up comming artist of the year; Best Show "Cabaret" of the year.

2009: Nominated in Best New Artist - Maple Blues Awards.
