Day 20 to 23 - Den Haag, Holland

Jimmy Bowskill Band - European Tour Blog - Jan - Mar 2010

Feb 1 - 4, 2010

These days were days off where we spent our time in Den Haag, Holland in our apartment there. Jim and I drove Steve to the train station in the morning of the 2nd so he could return to Canada to work at the Olympics.

The night before was spent trying to hash out all the details that Steve carried with him in his head and on paper that we would need to know. It should be noted that our days off were hardly relaxing though. We had microphones to repair, guitars to work on, Jim had to purchase luggage as Steve flew home with his and we had to meet Pooch, our new tour manager, at the airport in Amsterdam (a task that fell on Dan’s shoulders).

Pooch, a musician in his own right, had just finished a tour of England doing solo acoustic performances. He had worked at Coll Audio with Steve and Jim in Toronto and moved to Berlin late last year. Our last tour here in Europe had Pooch with us serving as guitar tech. He was so invaluable on that tour and such a positive guy that we knew having him along would help us a great deal.

Our last night off was also Pooch’s first night with us so we sat down and went over some last-minute details for the next few days before retiring.
