Canada's Biggest Blues Tour Launches  "There's a real passion for this music all across Canada," said MacLean,
adding "I don't think the blues has ever been more popular." MacLean, who has been called "an audio version of the movie Sin City," is enthusiastic about his venture with Michael Pickett. "We are going to play some very, very deep blues together. Pickett's one of those guys who brings it all to another level. He gets better and better every time out, and sometimes we get those strange, trance like experiences I remember having with Son House and Robert Pete." Both Michael Pickett and Doc MacLean currently reside in southern Ontario, but spend the majority of their time on solo blues highways that span North America and Europe. Canadian blues fans will have at least 65 opportunities to catch up to the National Steel Blues Tour. True to it's name, the Tour is not only national in it's scope, but also features a pair of vintage National guitars. Fans can check these out up close as Pickett and MacLean conduct a series of pre-show masterclasses and workshops in Long & McQuade stores across Canada. Keeping it close and personal, these unique concerts will take place in the round as the artists swap songs and stories in an all acoustic presentation. Tour schedule and routing follow below.
