MATT ANDERSEN – IN CONCERT!
with special guest OLD MAN LUEDECKE
coming to Owen Sound, Kingston, Ottawa, Cornwall,
Orillia, Sarnia, Port Hope, Belleville, and Peterborough
Tickets On Sale AUGUST 29th!!

"Big voice, big hair, big physique: the Maritime bluesman is a presence on stage. He’s even got big fingers ... but those digits can sail over his acoustic guitar strings with the speed and grace of a hummingbird." - Ottawa Citizen

There's a phenomenal buzz surrounding Matt Andersen. With his jaw-dropping talent, commanding presence and passionate delivery, Matt enchants audiences from coast to coast ... often to the point of eliciting spontaneous mid-set standing ovations! Hot on the heels of his unprecedented win at the 2010 International Blues Challenge in Memphis TN (the first Canadian to do so since its 1984 inception!), the accolades and awards continue to roll in: Entertainer of the Year and Acoustic Act of the Year at the 2011 Maple Blues Awards, as well as Blues Recording of the Year and Male Solo Recoding of the Year at the 2011 East Coast Music Awards.

The release date for Matt's seventh CD Coal Miner Blues is September 20, 2011, preceded by the single All Fired Up with a video to coincide. His 2008 release Somewhere In-Between added songwriter to his already solid vocal credentials: "Matt Andersen releases an awesome album full of raw blues rockers and brooding ballads." - Maverick "Canada's greatest guitarist made one acoustic guitar sound like a fully staffed band. Outrageous skill and contagious joy" - The London Times "Big hair, big voice, big physique: the Maritime bluesman is a presence on stage. He's even got big fingers ... but those digits can sail over his acoustic guitar strings with the speed and grace of a hummingbird." - Ottawa Citizen

Old Man Luedecke

Old Man Luedecke is one of Canada’s most intriguing roots singer/songwriters. Banjo playin’ foot stompin’ Luedecke's musical stylings have drawn favourable comparisons to Woody Guthrie and Pete Seeger, with a hint of Loudon Wainwright III thrown in! Winner of the 2011 Juno Award for Solo Roots & Traditional Album, he is "an original, a musical singularity to be savoured and shared."

Reserved seating tickets for Matt Andersen with special guest Old Man Luedecke are $37.50 - $42.00 (depending on local facility charges; HST incl; additional service charges may apply), go on sale August 29, and are available from the box offices listed below. Showtime is 8pm. For more info, pics, audio and video clips, visit: www.shantero.com www.stubbyfingers.ca www.oldmanluedecke.ca
