Stony Plain Recording artist Big Dave Mclean to appear with Shaun Verreault, Jordan Cook, and Curtis Scarrow for some special shows in Alberta and B.C early in the new year. The legendary Canadian bluesman Big Dave McLean recently released his third Stony Plain Album, "Acoustic Blues: Got 'Em From The Bottom." He was recently nominated for 2 Maple Blues Awards and is currently on his first European tour.Guitarists Shaun Verreault (Wide Mouth Mason), Jordan Cook, and Curtis Scarrow are members of Canadian band Guitarmageddon.ca started in the late 90s by Curtis and Shaun as a vehicle for them to do blues gigs together. Curtis, Shaun, and Jordan all encountered Mclean as kids early in their careers at a local blues jam that allowed kids to see, meet and play with the weekly artists...Mclean's influence upon musicians in towns all over Canada is profound, especially in Saskatoon where Mclean frequently played. Fans can look forward to some surprises as the boys will be playing musical chairs backing up Big Dave. We can only say it will be unlike anything you have heard before...... |
