(North Vancouver, B.C.)        The producers of the second season of Rez Bluez TV, Elaine Bomberry, Aaron Goldman and Shawn Henry, are pleased to announce that their television program won an Aboriginal Peoples Music Choice Award (APMCA) for 'Best Television Program Promoting Aboriginal Music' on Thursday, November 6th, at Manito Ahbee Festival, held at the McPhillips Street Station Casino in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Rez Bluez TV is the only show of its kind in the world that showcases Native blues musicians and comedians from all over Turtle Island.  We want to say Chi-miigwetch, Nia:weh, Big Thanks to all our fabulous musicians, crazy comedians, wonderful crew, the broadcasters and sponsors and everyone who voted on-line and watched our show on the Aboriginal Peoples Television Network during our second season.  Rez Bluez 2 was shot over one week in March 2007, at the Studio Theatre in Hamilton Place, Hamilton, Ontario.  Over seven days, ninety-three musicians and comedians were brought in from every corner of Turtle Island to be part of our second season.

We also want to send our Special Thanks to our super talented Native blues musicians and comedians who gave us their best, you are all so amazing and so inspiring!!  Double thumbs up to:  Derek Miller, Keith Secola, Murray Porter, Billy Joe Green, The Pappy Johns Band, Dalannah Bowen, Shakti Hayes, Helene Duguay, Harrison Kennedy, Isaac Mandamin & South Thunderbird, The Plateros, Jason Burnstick, Brock Stonefish, Wes Mackey, Jacques & the Shakey Boys, Jared Sowan, Martha Redbone, Dave West, Art Napoleon, Blues Hounds, Mark Laforme, Robbie Antone, The Breeze Band, Ronnie Douglas Trio, Texas Meltdown, and The Old Mush Singers, with Comedians/Hosts, Michaela Washburn, Gerry 'The Big Bear' Barrett, Drew Lacapa and Skeena Reece!

In addition, again, Chi-miigwetch, Nia:weh, Big Thanks to the Aboriginal Peoples Television Network, Freedom Films, YES-TV, Telefilm Canada and the Canadian Television Fund.   The Aboriginal Peoples Choice Music Awards were held on November 6th & 7th, 2008, at the Manito Ahbee Festival in Winnipeg, Manitoba.  Elaine Bomberry was also one of the co-hosts with Don Kelly for the First Night Awards, the pre-show awards of the APCMA's, on Thursday, November 6th, and presented 'Best Blues' recording on the televised show on Friday, November 7th to J.C. Campbell.

Rez Bluez TV is also nominated for a Canadian Aboriginal Music Award in the same category, which will be held at the Canadian Aboriginal Festival on Friday, November 28th, 2008, in Toronto, Ontario.
