Blues on the Rideau - Oct 22, 2010
Toronto blues sensation Shakura SAida enjoyed a triumphant musical return to her hometown last week (April 22), one she described as fun & frightening at the same time. Armed with many of the players featured on her new CD Brown Sugar, including co-writer and guitar goddess Donna Grantis, Shakura strutted her sexy stuff on the elevated stage at a jam-packed Revival Bar on College Street. Roots Music Canada was there, and captured this unedited, single-camera version of Sweet Spot from a position on the back balcony. |
